Identification address types

IPv6 address types can be identified taking into account the first bits of each address.

:
address with all zeros is used to indicate the absence of direction, and node is not assigned.
: 1
loopback address is an address that can use a node to send packets to itself (127.0.0.1 match of IPv4). Not be assigned to any physical interface.
: 1.2.3.4
The compatible IPv4 address is used as a transition mechanism in IPv4/IPv6 dual networks. This mechanism is not used.
:: ffff: 0:0
The mapped IPv4 address is used as a transitional mechanism in dual terminals.
fe80::
prefix local link (in English local link) specifies that the address is valid only in the local physical link.
fec0::
The prefix local site (in English site-local prefix) specifies that the address is valid only within a local organization. The RFC 3879 declared it obsolete, stating that future systems should not implement any support for this type of special handling. Should be replaced by Local IPv6 Unicast Address.
ff00::
multicast prefix. It is used for multicast addresses .
should be noted that there are no broadcast addresses (in English broadcast) in IPv6, but the functionality they provide can be emulated using the multicast address FF01:: 1, called all nodes (in English all nodes )
